Vests
A good vest is designed to enhance the warming capabilities of your wetsuit in very cold conditions.
Most commonly vests are constructed from thick neoprene material and are designed to be worn over the top of your wetsuit in diving conditions which are outside the range your wetsuit can keep you warm. Vests may also be made from thinner material, and incorporate a hood. These thinner vests are designed to be worn underneath your wetsuit and protect the diver from the cold by protecting the neck and head as well as the torso.
