The Corner

Depth:  15-25m
Experience:  Level: 3
Serviced by:  Ocean Diver

Site layout:
-On the edge of The Rip (Port Phillip Heads) a shallow reef that drops down to 80 metres on a slope about 20 metres wide.

Points of interest:
-Fantastic fish life, unseen in many other areas. -Pelagics such as, snapper, kingfish, salmon and wahoo. -Beautiful boarfish and old wives accompany divers as they swim through colourful sponges and soft corals

Bottom composition: Reef wall, sponges, soft corals, kelp beds and weed
Water movement/currents: Can only be dived on a slack water changing to a flood tide
Hazards: Divers can be washed out to the ocean if entering the water on a flood tide. Deep drop off that causes a down welling when changing to an ebb tide causing divers to be pushed deeper if they are not cautious.
