Key Biscayne

The Key Biscayne is a sunken, upside down oilrig, lying between 26 and 42 metres of water. It is regarded as one of the premier wreck dives in Western Australia.

She went down while under tow in an August gale. The swell was 8 metres with winds in excess of 50 knots. No lives were lost. Numerous salvage attempts have still left a lot to look at.

The fish life and sheer grandeur is second to none. Groper, giant dhufish, tuna, jumbo crays and port Jackson sharks all frequent the wreck.

Although the bottom is at 42 metres, there is great diving to be had where the wreck starts at 26 metres.
